The City of Kawartha Lakes has launched a new project to plan for the municipality’s long-term waste disposal needs.

This project builds on the work completed through the previous Future Waste Options Study and will review plans for additional landfill capacity as available space decreases and the municipality grows.

The first step is preparing a Terms of Reference (ToR) for a Comprehensive Environmental Assessment (CEA). The ToR will outline how the assessment will be carried out, which options will be considered and how the public can provide input.
