With the start of the new year, the Kawartha Lakes TMPU project team wanted to provide an update on the status of our project.

In September 2022 the TMPU project team gave a presentation to City Council which put forth preliminary draft recommendations related to trail infrastructure, design, education and outreach, costing and funding implementation and management, and maintenance and evaluation. A copy of the presentation can be found in the Documents Section of the project page.

Since the presentation, the TMPU project team has been working to draft and finalize the Master Plan report summarizing the project process, findings, rationale, and recommendations. We continue to integrate the findings and recommendations of the TMPU into the City's active transportation master plan and look forward to your involvement in that project process.

We are excited to be working towards finalizing the master plan report and anticipate a final report to Council in March 2023. There will be no further engagement on the TMPU process but as always, we welcome any feedback or questions as we work towards completion.
