Municipal and Tourism Wayfinding Strategy adopted by Council

August 13, 2026

The City of Kawartha Lakes Municipal and Tourism Wayfinding Strategy has been completed and adopted by Council.

The Strategy provides a long-term approach to improving wayfinding across Kawartha Lakes, helping residents and visitors navigate our communities and find municipal amenities, downtowns, parks, trails, cultural sites, tourism destinations and other points of interest.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the community engagement process and shared their experiences, ideas and feedback. Your input helped inform the development of the Strategy and will help guide the future of wayfinding in Kawartha Lakes.

What happens next?

With the Strategy now adopted, the next step is to consider funding for implementation. Funding for the Strategy will be brought forward for Council’s consideration during upcoming budget deliberations as a Special Project budget request.

The Municipal and Tourism Wayfinding Strategy, along with the presentation to Council and Council report, are available in the Documents section of this project page.
