Omemee Train Station Relocation Update
The City of Kawartha Lakes collected public input from the community in spring 2026 regarding the proposed relocation of the historic Omemee Train Station. The station is currently located on the former Lady Eaton Public School property in Omemee, adjacent to the Kawartha Trans Canada Trail.
Thank you to everyone who shared their input!
After reviewing potential locations and community feedback, Option A within Omemee Beach Park has been identified as the preferred location for the station's relocation.

- Option B (43.42%)
- Neither option (6.58%)
The Omemee and District Lions Club will be responsible for fundraising, restoration of the building, and ongoing operating and maintenance costs. The City and the Lions Club will work together to establish these responsibilities.
