What is the intention of the project?

Kawartha Lakes is refreshing its current Economic Development Strategy for 2024-2029 to help navigate the new challenges and emerging opportunities in our local economy. Economic development refers to programs, policies, or activities that seek to improve the economic well-being and quality of life of a community.

To assist in building the strategy, we’re asking Kawartha Lakes residents, businesses, and organizations to provide input through a survey about opportunities and challenges, and how the municipality can support a healthy economy over the next five years.

We will engage with community members, businesses, and other partners through:

• Interviews with key stakeholders
• Online surveys for residents, businesses, and other local organizations
• In-person workshops for partner groups

This page will provide regular updates on the project and ways you can get involved.
