Project complete!

cover of ATMPIn May 2024, the City of Kawartha Lakes Council approved the Kawartha Moves Active Transportation Master Plan (ATMP), which can be found in the documents list of this project, or on the municipal website.

The ATMP outlines a long-term vision for improving infrastructure to support active transportation, such as biking, walking, and other forms of self-propelled movement, across the City. The plan takes into account both recreational use and daily commuting.

Through extensive consultation on this Jump In project and other formats, with community partners, the public and staff, the plan identifies possible new routes for cycling infrastructure, sets guidelines for maintenance and monitoring and recommends phased implementation. The goal is to make sustainable, cost-effective investments in active transportation that will benefit residents for many years to come.
